i feature some of the same items on my outfit posts, too. nothing wrong with that- in fact, in your case, it shows resourcefulness in the way you mix pieces. that is what style is about, as opposed to mere fashion and the desire for trends and newness.
i stopped subscribing to fashion mags myself. yes, it's liberating. none inspire enough to read on a regular basis.

I love to see the same pieces used over and over again - it's a good indicator on how a piece of clothing can be worn in different ways. I really despise the mentality that goes like "can't be seen in the same piece or outfit twice".

I haven't subscribed to fashion mags since I started reading blogs few years back. I do buy an issue every now and then, if I see something I like inside the covers. :P I find blogs (such as yours!) so much more inspiring and nicer to look at. :)
